Productive and Creative Environment
Love the ambience over there. Support of senior employees is really appreciable. Administration always supports you in terms of providing each and every resource.

Nice people and nice management.
Nice place to work, everyone plays their part from reception to top management. Your manager is very inclusive and information sharing is really good. I had a very interesting experience with payroll once when they resolved all issues I had and actually called to follow-up a few days later to ensure I was okay (payroll was in Vancouver and I was working in Montreal). My Director also called to follow-up and gave me details on how to reach him personally in future. Very fun place!
Points positifsInclusive, friendly and fun environment.

Management seems to make some questionable decisions and were unclear about their hiring requirements. Gave false hope instead of being transparent. Would not really recommend.

Good place to work
CDI College is a nice place to work, they management is very good and very flexible. It is always very nice to deal with the students and change their lives. the hardest part is when you fail a student and try to convince them that this is not the right career and not the right course for them.
Points positifsGood environement
Points négatifsSalary and compensation is not the best

A typical day at CDI College would be to greet students and newcomers to the office.
Maintain and create new files for students.
Maintain switchboard, take messages, forward incoming calls.
Administered Comp-Tia exams.
Administered Entrance Exams.
Ordering of office supplies.
In my role of Director of First Impressions/Administrative Assistant, I learnt compassion, empathy, and patience for students who was undergoing problems at school or in their personal lives.
While working at the college I made many friends on the staff. It became an extended family feeling.
The hardest part of my job was watching students struggling with their assignments, or problems at home which would interfere with their studies and ultimately result in failure at school.
The most enjoyable part of my job was seeing the students graduate!
Points positifsFree Lunches

Know what your getting into
CDI has a decent value proposition as a largely well known, familiar source of both in-class and online training, with their on-line offerings being in high demand for several reasons, not least of which being the current pandemic.
The traditional in-class and on-line courses are generally handled by dedicated sales teams, with their own management. As a sales rep for the on-line division, you are in a telesales type of environment with no in-person interaction with the students through an entirely remote sales process. A high emphasis is placed on phone and/or video chat communication only and the expected call volumes for the first few weeks (if you last that long) are extreme, but maybe not for a call-center type of position. Typically as a sales rep your title will be "Assistant Director of Admissions", but do not let that fool you - you are a call center based telesales sales person 100%. Training is marginal at best and you will be exepcted to produce results from the moment you hit the floor.
Points positifsGood value proposition, brand recognition, mostly friendly co-workers, free coffee, downtown location.
Points négatifsHorrendous internal communication, inconsistent policies regarding rules of engagement, rampant favoritism between sales leadership and reps, infighting everywhere, poor IT infrastructure including partially working phones, several (mostly inexperienced) local managers employing a threat style of engagement with staff, an unwritten expectation of working 10+ hour days plus weekends, a cannibalized call-list database with scores of other reps calling the same prospects, a culture of ultimate electronic surveillance including multiple video cameras, no perks of any kind.
