Productive But Stressful
As this store does not include a gas station, there is only a requirement of a single cashier at work. But will learn about lottery sales, counting, total sales, placing the order and making sure that everything is up to date

You are disposable and they'll let you know
At least they're honnest about it. The management really depend of who is managing the place you work. As for myself, I had two managers while I worked there, I loved them both, but there was someone who managing the managers and she was simply horrible, making everyone feels like we were nothing in the entreprise. It's a good temporary job tho, as they have a lot of benefits and can transfer you if you need it. The only real thing I hated about this place was that as a assistant manager you were paid 1$ more than the minimal salary and as a night clerk you were paid 2$ more, wich doesn't make sense to me.
Points positifsGood temporary job, a lot of advantages.
Points négatifsYou can't call sick, most of the time.

Fast-paced work environment
Working at Circle K could be fun at times but usually it is fast-paced if you're working alone. If working with a co-worker it is actually fun working here. You get discounts on food service products they have and get to have a flexible schedule with them too!

All the team members at Circle K where I am working are very nice and are co-operative. At Circle K we have to provide the best friendly customer service to all of our customers.

I was not totally satisfied there
I have worked here for couple of months. Menager's behaviour is good. But I was not satisfied with the salary and work dividation among workers. But overall it's good.

Productive
A typical day at work is all about communication, selling items to the customers, sometimes helping them choose which one is the best or cheapest cigarettes, advertising any sales or deals.
What I've learnt about is to never trust a customer like a true friend.. keeping things professionally in a workplace is recommended, I've spent my own money to help customers who are short in change, they always say that they'll pay me back but they never do or try to pull up a scam/fraud.
Managing the workplace is keeping things clean, people make a lot of mess and it is my job to keep things clean. Cash handling, making sure no more than $100 bills in the till. Always ask for ID for those who look under 40 years old when buying lottery tickets or cigarettes, even if you know the customer well, always ask for ID.
The hardest part of the job is to make sure customers aren't stealing, or dealing with customer's anger.
The most enjoyable part of the job is communicating and seeing customers win a big prize, I've wished someone a very good luck because he seemed very nice and once the instant poker lottery started folding, he received almost $12,000 and seeing him really happy and excited made my day.
