Typically driving around waiting for orders. Busy times are listed and much better for keeping active and making money.
Learned how to navigate the city better.
You are basically your own boss.
Hardest part rush hour.

Deactivate contractors, THE Company, does not follow the contract Terms
Support is horrible, treat you like an employee. They do not follow the terms of the contract. Deactivate you for no reason, explanation. Appeal process is a joke. No help, you're on your own. They monitor you for everything, even though the restaurants make your deliveries late, customer ratings are most important, even though you don't work for Door Dash. Sometimes the delivery time is before the food is picked up. How they passed the "Not an employee" bill in California, is a farce, because you do work for them and they control all the cards. Low transit pays, long drives. I can't stress enough..... DO NOT WORK HERE!!!
Points positifspaid every week, same day
Points négatifslow pay, long drives, no support, they can't help with anything

Good place to work if you have part time work
DoorDash is relaxed and the interview was actually not bad. The person doing the interview was nice and informative as well as making us laugh a few times.
I could give zero star rating to this company if there’s an option. You’ll only get paid for your gas expens. That’s quite funny. Never recommend working at this company. They only pay you $2 for a 15 kilometres delivery.
As a driver for Door Dash I can not express my frustration enough. There are some good things, however there are a number of issues with Door Dash and if you are a person who cares about the work you do, and the level of service you provide your customers this may not be the job for you.
1) Pick up location may be +20km from your current location and the scheduled pick up time is 5 min later
2) You recieve notification that order is ready for pick up and you wait 15-20min because they are still working on the order (you do not get paid to sit and wait)
3) The delivery time to the customer is often early than the time you recieve an order so this affects your on time delivery metrics. Then they tell you how you can improve upon this metric even though the late delivery is not a result of your speed, or anything you have control of.
4) There is no phone number to contact anyone at support, everything goes through the mobile Dasher App, if you app crashes or fails YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!
5) Messages sent into support can have a delayed reaponse of up to 48 hours. So you will have to be patient, do not expect a swift response. When you do get a response, do not think that your message was read, because in most cases they send a canned email back to you, completely unrelated to the original message sent.
6) You may decline Dashes, however, your acceptance rate will go down. Once you put in the reason for your decline of an order and want to pause or stop Dashes, they wil
Points positifsThere are orders on a regular basis
Points négatifsVery poor driver support, poor app for enabling or disabling a current dash, no follow up on bad customer reviews, delays in recieving weekly payment, long drive from current location to resturant, KPI which are recorded on systems desinged to make you fail and not meet targets
Your your time use it wisely and you can make money too.
Best job ever. I Love the work and your own time works. lm organized and conscious and work uaually goes smoothly . If any problems contact your doordash immediately. I follow all rules and read all that is printed by the customer .
Independent work environment with little management interference
As a 'Dasher Experience Specialist', you are expected to use data entry, tech support, and management skills to get potential doordash delivery drivers background checked and put on the road.
Points positifsIndependence, you often work alone, Free lunches daily although you might not have time to eat it, Great benefits and your coworkers are decent
Points négatifsCompany offers good benefits but pays as much as a fast food position, Management doesn't truly know whats going on, Sales goals can be demanding and overwhelming, Management is often willing to cut corners to meet sales goals, Employee experience is not a priority

Its always busy and too many drivers
There are too many drivers in the city for the very limited amount of orders placed. Locations don't keep in touch with doordash clients to deliver food on time. Very few of them actually have food ready on time.
Doordash has made it possible for me to support my family while homeless, pay for a security deposit on a new home and continue to pay for that new home until other opportunities presented themselves for us career wise. I now have a first shift M-F and I've cut down on my Dashing considerably. I now do it on the weekend or a free evening. In a clutch though, DOORDASH can DEFINITELY pay the bills.

Great Pay/Horrible Company
Lets just say the pay is pretty awesome for a call center However, its not worth all the drama, favoritism, unfairness that agents go through. Management shows so much favoritism it's insane. Supervisors are hired externally which is fine if they knew what they were doing. Most of the management team early 20's and knows nothing about kids, spouses, and family. They only socialize with their favorites or other managers. This use to be an amazing place to work for but now its gotten so bad that people are willing to take pay cuts to leave this place. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I would recommend this jobs for young people just starting out but for older people just keep looking its entirely too much drama and games for you. Trust me. Im trying to find other work now.
A typical day at work for me, working for Door Dash, would be an "on the go" workday. I've learned that I'm able to keep track of my performance. I've learned how to balance out my responsibilities.
I'm not micromanaged, but, Door Dash keep record of the timing of my deliveries, my customer service and the interaction I have with my customers.
The hardest part of the job is being dedicated without benefits. I enjoy delivering customer service, I do not like the fact there aren't any benefits.
What I enjoy most about the job is the fact all the responsibility is on me. It's my job to make sure my customers have the proper utensils and etc. It's my responsibility to make sure my customers have their food delivered on time and with a smile.
I've learned to become a more cautious and aware driver. I enjoy meeting new people and helping the community. I've also been to restaurants I've never been to before but now would like to try them.

DoorDash was perfect for me while I was attending college full time because I could work whenever I wanted to and in between classes. Per normal there were slow days and busy days.

GPS system sucks
Door dash GPS system has been wrong 50% of the time in the last two weeks in which I've made for worthless trips to the delivery site first instead of the restaurant. All I get was "I'm sorry and we're working on it" attitude with no compensation for burning gas

Improve your app, increase the pay rate (or at least be transparent about it), and most importantly get a help hotline!

Trying to get paid when they screw up an order, waiting in line of customers to order your delivery (yes, you have to order some). Waiting for your 20 minute order to be cooked, so you can deliver it for 9.99!!!!!
