The Mattawa Women's Resource Centre is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a full-time (35 hours per week), one-year contracted position.
Funded through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, this role offers meaningful, hands-on experience across data management, systems implementation, and frontline support in the social services and gender-based violence sectors.
This role will primarily involve:
· Developing an employee manual specific to MWRC's day-to-day operations, including use of WISH, case noting practices, and related procedures
· Presenting the employee manual to existing and new staff
· Transferring paper client files - both residential and outreach - into WISH
· Supporting the Executive Director with quality assurance, including WISH use and client file maintenance
· Streamlining data collection to strengthen reporting and staff training
· Assisting the Executive Director in customizing WISH templates to better capture information collected by shelter staff and enhance service delivery
· Conducting a data analysis of 40 years of accumulated statistics to inform training and organizational learning
You will also support women and their children who have experienced or are experiencing violence, contributing to programs and services for both shelter residents and their children.
This position involves working rotating shifts - days, evenings, and nights, on both weekdays and weekends.
Qualifications and Experience
· Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a post-secondary social services, social work, or related program is an asset
· Available to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays
· Committed to teamwork, a strengths-based approach, and a collaborative staff culture
· Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with respect to MWRC, partner agencies, and the women, children, and youth we serve
· Computer literacy required; experience with WISH, data analysis, and digital file migration considered an asset
· Current CPR and First Aid certification is an asset
· Proficiency in a second language is an asset
Hourly Wage: $24.62 per hour
