Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Windsor, ON. The Mechanic will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on a variety of vehicles, including inspections, oil changes, brake service, tire work, and engine and drivetrain repairs. Day-to-day tasks include identifying mechanical issues, troubleshooting problems, using diagnostic tools, and completing repair orders accurately and efficiently. The role also involves following safety procedures, keeping work areas organized, and communicating clearly with service advisors and team members about repair needs and timelines. The Mechanic will contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair across a variety of vehicle systems.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled inspections and service to reduce breakdowns.
- Ability to work with Heavy Equipment or larger vehicles, including safe operation of shop tools and machinery.
- Solid Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
- Relevant technical training or certification in automotive repair (e.g., trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards and best practices, with a commitment to safe work habits.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical bulletins, and diagnostic codes.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Physical ability to perform mechanic duties, including lifting, standing, and using hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
