Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Flatbed Delivery Driver to operate our 2020 Hino Flatbed Truck . In this role, you will be responsible for transporting materials safely to local and across the lower mainland job sites and commercial clients, ensuring secure cargo tie-downs, and maintaining professional customer service.
Duties
- Safely operate a flatbed truck to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, or other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, including heavy lifting and moving items within warehouses or delivery sites
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation standards
- Use forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed for loading or unloading cargo safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trucks or similar vehicles is a bonus
- Strong moving skills, including heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo
- Familiarity with forklift operation and warehouse environments is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and cargo securement
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
