Head Ice Technician/Ice Technician Assistant
The FSJ Curling Club is looking for a reliable, motivated, individual to join our teams as a Head Ice Technician. We are also open to hiring an Ice Technician Assistant for applicants looking to gain experience in ice making and arena operations.
This is a seasonal position running from August through April with flexible hours based around league play, events, and ice maintenance schedules.
Position Responsibilities
· Prepare and maintain quality curling ice throughout the season
· Daily ice care including scraping, pebbling, nipping, and monitoring ice conditions
· Assist with installation and removal of ice at the beginning and end of the season
· Ensure a safe and clean working environment
· Work alongside club staff, volunteers, and board members during events and bonspiels
Qualifications
· Previous ice technician experience is considered an asset but is not required
· Strong work ethic, and ability to work independently
· Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed
· Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
· Passion for curling community involvement is welcomed

Compensation
Wage will be based on experience and position level. Training opportunities available for assistant candidates.
