We currently have a position available for a Complimentary Host / Breakfast Attendant who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Breakfast Host/Attendant will set-up, prepare and service breakfast buffet while providing customer service, guest satisfaction, and a quality work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- To acknowledge and create a warm welcome to all guests
- Prepare, replenish and maintain buffet items according to the Hampton Brand Standard and Health Department guidelines.
- Inspect inventory before and during breakfast hours to ensure adequate supply.
- Prepare and restock buffet and coffee station during breakfast timing.
- Inspect to ensure stock is adequate before beginning operation.
- Replace and rotate stock correctly (F.I.F.O.)
- Full knowledge of served items and methods of preparation as needed.
- Works within policy to accommodate guest's special requests.
- Service and stocks items in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards.
- To clean and sanitize tables as required using proper methods.
- To consistently meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Be familiar with hotel services and amenities.
- Attend any training sessions or meetings (when asked)
- After Breakfast hours; thoroughly clean up and put everything away.
- Coffee preparation for Front Desk.
- Provide basic coffee and/or breakfast service to meeting rooms.
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Food Safety Handling certificate
- Previous hospitality or food service experience preferred
- High school diploma is preferred
- Strong customer services and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with food and hot dishes
- Ability to follow instructions and be detail-oriented
- Professional and friendly with all guests. Ability to achieve guest satisfaction
- Prior experience in Food and Beverage is an asset
- Attributes such as being polite, courteous, and working effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work early mornings including; weekends and public holidays. Ideally you will have experience in a Restaurant or Hotel environment, minimum of 1 year. You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country.
Compensation
- Expected Wage: $ 17.60 - $18.25 per hour
