Reporting to the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent, the Senior Engineer, Water Resources leads the site-wide water planning function. This includes developing and implementing water strategies, overseeing near, medium, and long-term water forecasting, supporting infrastructure planning, and ensuring monitoring programs support compliance and informed decision-making. The role also provides technical leadership and QA/QC oversight, manages water-related risks, coordinates work across teams, and ensures all work meets professional and operational standards.
To be successful, we are looking for a motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience in overseeing and coordinating multiple internal resources and external consultants in high functioning, collaborative teams. The candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to develop and communicate practical recommendations to mine management, engineers, and operational personnel. Demonstrated experience with water planning, modelling, and infrastructure planning is required. The ability to work well in a team environment, manage consultants, and oversee planning deliverables is integral to the role.
