We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team and keep vehicles and equipment running at peak performance. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of automotive and industrial machinery, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles and machinery using schematics, electrical testing tools, and mechanical knowledge.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on automobiles, heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and industrial tools to execute repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance or troubleshooting procedures when necessary.
- Interpret technical schematics and manuals to identify issues with engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met and perform preventive maintenance tasks regularly.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble or disassemble machinery parts for repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all repair activities while providing excellent customer service to internal clients or external customers when applicable.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with vehicle systems and customer service standards.
- Hands-on experience working with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical systems within vehicles and industrial machines is essential.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
- Experience operating heavy equipment safely in a workshop or field environment.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
