We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our interdisciplinary care team. The successful candidate will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized physiotherapy treatment programs that promote mobility, function, pain management, and fall prevention for residents in our long-term care home.

Salary: $42.35 – $54.76 (rate as of April 1, 2024)

Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for residents.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
- Design and monitor restorative mobility and exercise programs.
- Assess mobility, gait, balance, strength, and transfer abilities.
- Recommend appropriate mobility aids, positioning equipment, and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, restorative care staff, and
- other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide education and training to residents, families, and staff regarding safe mobility,
- transfers, exercise, and injury prevention.
- Participate in falls prevention initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation in accordance with
- regulatory and professional standards.
- Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings as required.
- Ensure practice complies with applicable legislation, professional standards, and organizational
- policies.
Qualifications:
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited program.
- Experience working in long-term care, geriatrics, rehabilitation, or a related setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of mobility assessments, falls prevention, pain management, and restorative care principles.
- Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with electronic health records is considered an asset.
- Current CPR certification is an asset.
