Job Overview:
The Senior Commercial Operations Specialist supports the execution, coordination, documentation, and continuous improvement of key sales and commercial operations initiatives. This role works closely with Commercial Operations leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to help improve the efficiency, consistency, and scalability of commercial processes across the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
The role provides senior-level coordination and operational support for initiatives involving Salesforce, CPQ-related processes, order management workflows, reporting, documentation, and process enablement. The Senior Commercial Operations Specialist helps ensure that project activities, stakeholder inputs, process documentation, data updates, and follow-up actions are organized, accurate, and completed in alignment with business priorities.
This position is well suited for an experienced operations professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple teams, and able to translate business needs into clear actions, documentation, and operational support.

Sales & Commercial Operations Coordination

Coordinate day-to-day activities related to sales and commercial operations initiatives, ensuring actions, owners, timelines, and dependencies are clearly documented and followed up on

Support Commercial Operations leadership in organizing workstreams, meeting materials, project trackers, action logs, status updates, and stakeholder communications

Assist with the coordination of cross-functional activities involving Sales, Inside Sales, Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Finance, Product Management, IT, and other operational teams

Track outstanding issues, risks, decisions, and next steps, escalating items to leadership where additional direction, prioritization, or resolution is required
-
Maintain accurate records of project and process activities, ensuring information is current, accessible, and organized for stakeholders
-
Help prepare operational summaries, meeting notes, process updates, and status reporting materials as required
-
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve handoffs, increase transparency, and reduce rework
Process Support, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Support the review and documentation of commercial operations processes, including current-state workflows, pain points, handoffs, dependencies, and improvement opportunities

Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, process maps, job aids, checklists, and training/reference materials

Help identify recurring process issues and support root cause analysis by gathering information, documenting examples, and coordinating input from relevant teams
-
Support implementation of process improvements by coordinating updates, documenting changes, communicating revised workflows, and helping stakeholders adopt new ways of working

Ensure process documentation is clear, current, version-controlled, and stored in the appropriate SharePoint or centralized repository

Contribute to efforts that reduce manual work, improve consistency, increase visibility, and support scalable operations across the sales and commercial lifecycle
Systems, Data & Reporting Support

Support Salesforce and related commercial systems activities by assisting with data validation, process updates, user support, documentation, and issue tracking

Coordinate and document system-related requests, enhancement ideas, data issues, or process gaps for review by Commercial Operations leadership or system owners

Assist with CPQ, quoting, account, opportunity, order, or commercial workflow support activities as required
-
Help maintain accurate operational data by reviewing records, identifying inconsistencies, coordinating corrections, and supporting adherence to defined standards
-
Prepare or support reports, dashboards, lists, and trackers that provide visibility into operational activities, open items, and process performance
-
Work with stakeholders to understand data or reporting needs and help translate those needs into clear requirements, summaries, or follow-up actions
Stakeholder Support & Communication

Serve as a reliable coordination point for internal stakeholders seeking support from the Commercial Operations team
-
Respond to routine questions, gather required information, route requests appropriately, and ensure stakeholders understand next steps
-
Coordinate meetings, working sessions, follow-ups, and documentation required to support commercial operations initiatives
-
Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders across departments, ensuring expectations, dependencies, and timelines are understood
-
Support enablement activities by helping prepare communications, reference materials, training support documents, and adoption resources
-
Reinforce process consistency by helping stakeholders understand where to submit requests, how to follow standard workflows, and where to find relevant documentation
Who you are:
-
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sales Operations, Commerce, Project Coordination, or a related discipline
-
5+ years of experience in sales operations, commercial or revenue operations, customer operations, order management, project coordination, or business support environment, particularly, experience contributing to large-scale systems implementation and/or systems integration projects
-
Strong understanding of sales and commercial operations processes, preferably within a B2B, technology, manufacturing, or complex order environment
-
Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, with the ability to update, review, validate, and support accurate data and process execution
-
Familiarity with CPQ, quote management, order management, customer account processes, or related quote-to-cash workflows is considered an asset
-
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
-
Experience using task, project, or work management tools such as Planner, Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Lists, or similar platforms
-
Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities, track follow-ups, maintain documentation, and support competing priorities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize information clearly and professionally for different stakeholder groups

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and timely follow-through

Ability to identify process gaps, escalate risks or blockers, and support practical improvements to day-to-day workflows

Collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships across Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, IT, and Order Management teams

Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while staying aligned to team priorities and direction

Salary Information:
The pay range for this role in Canada is: 82,000 - 120,000 CAD

Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, knowledge, and role-specific qualifications, and may be adjusted to recognize candidates accordingly.
