We are seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing complex electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks on a variety of projects. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, efficiency, and quality of our electrical systems across multiple sectors. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and repair work.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings using hand tools and power tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently by diagnosing problems with schematics, low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other control devices.
- Perform renovation projects by upgrading existing wiring and electrical components to meet current codes and standards.
- Work with low voltage wiring for communication systems, security alarms, and automation controls.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects safely, on time, and within specifications while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist in training apprentices or less experienced electricians when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification or equivalent (e.g., Red Seal or TQ qualification).
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in construction environments with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical work.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to perform renovation work involving existing wiring upgrades or modifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile project support.
CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR: 3 Year minimum experience as a Journeyperson Electrician that can proficiently complete electrical installations and service calls. Focus on team leadership and running day to day jobsites with apprentices.
