We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Service Administrator to join our team, based out of Mount Uniacke, NS.
Summary:
The Technical Service Administrator plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring the efficient execution of industrial valve service and repair activities. This position coordinates service schedules, supports field technicians, manages service documentation, and serves as a critical link between customers, suppliers, and the service team. The successful candidate combines strong administrative and organizational skills with technical aptitude to help ensure customer requirements are met safely, accurately, and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous, accurate and prompt customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and support of field service technicians.
- Work with industrial service team to maintain and monitor customer preventative maintenance schedules.
- Work closely with suppliers to order parts, track shipments, and ensure pricing and deliveries are met as to not cause customer disruption.
- Size new and replacement valves to customer requirements, working with supplier portals and sizing programs. Product specific training will be provided.
- Maintain desired inventory levels needed for upcoming jobs.
- Estimating on-site and in-shop service work.
- Management and completion of all associated service-related documentation, including the preparation of quotes, technical travel packages, service orders, purchase orders, inspection and test reports, shipping, invoicing, and docman.
- Perform parts inspection and assemble parts kits for service technicians.
- Perform data entry as required to support service team.
- Process warranty claims from start to finish, until RMA/Credits/Debits are received.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Experience working in a fast-paced service, industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment & technical aptitude is considered a strong asset.
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and respond effectively to urgent requests.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP/business management systems.
