As our Departmental Finance Coordinator, you will work with us to ensure that we meet the planning, reporting and cost control needs of our corporate Finance Team.
This position will be in the office 3 days a week in Ottawa.
Key Responsibilities:

Work with our diverse, international team to roll-up our annual budget plan across an established set of corporate OPEX and CAPEX account codes.

Act as the first line of approval for Department purchase requisitions to ensure proper classification and overall alignment to the budget.

Track progress towards the budget and generate on-demand and quarterly Department Management reports to this effect where required. Reconcile with the Finance team’s view of actuals as needed to ensure alignment.

Coordinate, track and report on special project budgets when they arise within or across calendar years. Ensure these are accordingly represented within the budget plan.

Highlight expenditure anomalies and possible optimizations to Department Management for review and action.

Leverage the data available to develop specialized monthly, quarterly and annual reports for department management and Finance Team consumption.

Look for and act upon opportunities to leverage approved AI tools to automate and/or simplify current processes.

Assistance with other Departmental responsibilities (customer ticketing, documentation storage and review, record keeping etc).
Qualifications:

Experience with basic Finance operations (e.g. budgeting, financial planning and analysis, accruals, purchasing, invoicing, etc.). Ability to leverage this understanding to bridge communications bi-directionally between our Department and the corporate Finance Team.

Excellent collaboration and multi-channel communication skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, pivotTables, data transforms) in a Windows 11 office environment.

Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint for file storage.

Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot AI tools.

Familiarity with ORACLE ERP system.
The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in all geographic locations is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills and education. The compensation package also includes eligibility for an incentive plan and comprehensive benefits, subject to applicable requirements.
