Position Summary
As an Integrative Health Assistant, you will play an essential role in both clinical and administrative operations. You will work closely with our healthcare practitioners to provide outstanding patient care while ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood collection with confidence and professionalism
- Prepare and administer IV nutrient therapies in accordance with clinic protocols and scope of practice
- Monitor patients during IV treatments to ensure their comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Assist practitioners with patient care and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Ensure clinical supplies and equipment are stocked and organized
Administrative Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and create an exceptional patient experience
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for multiple healthcare providers
- Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries in a professional and compassionate manner
- Process payments and assist with patient accounts
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and treatment plans
- Assist with inventory management and daily clinic operations
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold clinic policies and procedures
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Certification or education in Medical Office Administration, Medical Laboratory Assisting, Nursing, Phlebotomy, or another healthcare-related field
- Current venipuncture/phlebotomy certification with experience performing blood draws
- Experience administering IV therapies (preferred)
- Previous experience in a medical, naturopathic, or multidisciplinary healthcare clinic is considered a strong asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an asset
- A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient care
