Service Advisor
We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. As the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department, you will ensure a seamless experience from vehicle check-in through repair completion.
The ideal candidate has previous Service Advisor experience, outstanding customer service skills, and hands-on diesel truck experience or a strong background working with diesel trucks. This role requires someone who can confidently communicate repair recommendations, accurately quote repairs and parts, coordinate with technicians, and build lasting customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Prepare repair orders and provide clear, accurate estimates.
- Accurately quote repairs, labour, and parts while ensuring estimates are complete and competitive.
- Communicate recommended repairs and maintenance in a professional, easy-to-understand manner.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs efficiently.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
- Recommend preventative maintenance and additional services that improve vehicle performance and safety.
- Process payments and maintain accurate service records.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous Service Advisor experience in an automotive, truck, or heavy-duty service environment.
- Diesel truck experience or strong knowledge of diesel trucks is required.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Experience preparing accurate repair estimates and quoting parts and labour.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional attitude with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Preferred:
- Dealership experience.
- Mechanical background or experience in automotive or heavy-duty repair.
- Experience with service management software.
- Sales and upselling experience.
