Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Dining Room Server to provide exceptional service in a dynamic dining environment. The ideal candidate will ensure guests have a memorable experience by delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in hospital or healthcare settings is a plus, especially for those with multilingual or bilingual capabilities, as well as familiarity with medical terminology and patient care. The Dining Room Server will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and supporting the overall operations of the dining facility.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure comfort and efficiency
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using established protocols
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Respond to guest inquiries courteously and provide detailed information about menu items or special accommodations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout shifts
- Handle guest requests or complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Assist in setting up dining areas for special events or functions as needed
- Support team members in maintaining health and safety standards, including proper sanitation procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, healthcare, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse guests and team members
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities (e.g., French) are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
