Children's Autism Services of Edmonton is seeking a 10-month full-time continuing Education Administrative Assistant to support staffing coordination and educational programming within our growing organization.
We provide family-centered, in-home and classroom-based services for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the front entrance safe by clearing snow and ice and applying salt or gravel when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception, lobby, and common areas.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and printed materials.
- Assist with printing, photocopying, and distributing documents and notices.
- Greet and assist parents, visitors, contractors, and other guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Report building maintenance issues to the appropriate contacts.
- Schedule meeting rooms and prepare rooms for meetings, including basic audiovisual setup.
- Keep the copy room organized and stocked with supplies.
- Restock washrooms and shared staff areas with necessary supplies.
- Help maintain a clean and organized staff kitchen and shared spaces.
- Clean and organize the toy lending/playroom, including sanitizing returned toys.
- Restock classroom, educational, first aid, and other operational supplies as needed.
- Monitor inventory and replenish consumable items such as soap, sanitizer, tissues, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Distribute and track building keys, access fobs, and other issued items for substitute and temporary staff.
- Provide general reception, administrative, and facility support, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Experience in administration or education preferred
· Experience working with children with autism preferred
· Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
· Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
· Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and Child Welfare Check required

Additional Information
· 10-month position from September to June
· Follows school year schedule with summers off (unpaid)
· Located at Maier Centre South
· Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm
