Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our moving team. This role is ideal for individuals who own their own truck/ Sprinter Van and are looking to leverage their time & driving skills in a dynamic environment. The Owner Operator Driver and mover will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes within GTA
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status.
- Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Operate forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) CGL (Commercial General Liability) & CVOR
- Familiarity with relocation, residential move, commercial move and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Experience in relocation and moving service is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair to handle minor maintenance tasks.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Cantonese speaking is a plus.
