Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant/banquet team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of food service operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment where customer satisfaction is our top priority. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver timely service
- Provide guest services by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns professionally
- Follow all sanitation, food handling, and safety protocols to ensure a safe dining environment
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and handling cash transactions accurately
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; hospitality background is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and interacting with guests
- Food industry knowledge including food handling, serving techniques, and basic food preparation skills
- Upselling abilities to promote menu items confidently and increase sales potential
