Royal Vale Elementary Home & School Association (RVEHSA) is dedicated to enhancing the education and general well-being of the students at Royal Vale Elementary School.
RVEHSA independently plans and oversees the before and after school programs and child care for Royal Vale Elementary students.
We are seeking passionate, dedicated individuals to join our after school program team.
The ideal candidate would have experience supervising groups of children anywhere between the ages of 4-12, possess excellent communication skills and have experience and a desire to plan and execute fun activities with the students.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to)
- Ensures the safety and well-being of the children; this includes both physical and emotional safety
- Creates, plans and prepares, activities for the age group assigned to the staff
- Executes activities that relate to the age group
- Maintains room(s) and play areas, keeping the group space clean, along with colleagues maintaining a clean and organized supply closet, occasionally assists with supply organization
- Develops/maintains regular/on-going communication with supervisor(s), colleagues to meet the needs of the program and/or children
- Fills in student behaviour/injury report and reports back to the director

QUALIFICATIONS & ASSETS
- Past experience working at schools, camps, daycares
- Education in childcare field
- CPR Certification
This is a contract position until June 22, 2027.
Shifts available:
Monday-Friday :
Various shifts available starting at 2:25pm or 3:25pm and finishing between 5:00pm-5:30pm
- Ideal candidates would be available to work 5 days a week
Occasional 6-8 hour shifts available throughout the year on Pedagogical days when the school is closed and there is a full day of programming provided
**Candidates holding a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Early Childhood Education may be eligible for additional shift work opportunities during school hours.**
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
