About the Opportunity
Are you a CPA who enjoys public practice but is looking for a healthier work-life balance than a larger firm can often provide?
We're looking for a Chartered Professional Accountant who enjoys the variety and challenge of public practice while building meaningful relationships with small business owners. Whether you're a newly designated CPA looking to accelerate your career or an experienced CPA seeking a better long-term fit, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is well suited to someone looking for a Junior Manager or Manager-level position with opportunities to grow alongside an expanding firm.
You'll have the opportunity to work on a range of engagements, including:
- Preparing / reviewing corporate income tax returns
- Preparing / reviewing compiled financial statements (CSRS 4200)
- Preparing / reviewing personal income tax returns
- Reviewing bookkeeping files and providing guidance to clients and team members
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and practical business advice for owner-managed businesses
- Communicating directly with clients through meetings, phone calls, and email
- Collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional client service while continually improving our internal processes

About You
Our ideal team member enjoys working with people just as much as working with numbers.
You likely have:
- A CPA designation (or are newly designated)
- Experience preparing corporate tax returns and compiled financial statements
- Experience in personal income tax and working with owner-managed businesses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A high attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- A growth mindset and desire to continually learn
