We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a seamless experience for clients seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with a knack for sales and upselling services to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
- Listen carefully to customers’ vehicle concerns and accurately document their needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs, ensuring customer understanding.
- Prepare repair orders, estimate costs, and communicate timelines effectively.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance options that benefit the customer’s vehicle health.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage payment processing efficiently.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of service history and customer interactions in the dealership’s system.
- Promote dealership services, warranty programs, and financing options to maximize sales opportunities.
Experience
- Prior dealership experience or mechanic background is preferred, providing a strong foundation in automotive systems.
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset for explaining repairs and recommending appropriate services.
- Proven experience in customer service roles with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes and terminology is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
