Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food service and customer satisfaction. This role is vital in ensuring smooth service flow, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Previous restaurant management, supervising experience, and familiarity with food industry standards are highly valued. The Front of House Supervisor will play a key role in team management, training, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
This role will consist of 3-5 supervising shifts a week and 1-2 serving shifts a week to fill the 5 day week.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain quality standards and food safety compliance.
- Manage POS systems such as order processing and cash handling procedures.
- Assist in team management activities including interviewing potential staff, training new employees
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth communication between front and back of house.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols within the dining area.
- Assist with food handling procedures and ensure adherence to food safety regulations.
- Support restaurant management in daily operations, including inventory control and scheduling.
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming environment for guests.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Squirrel; cash handling experience is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Previous restaurant management or hotel experience is preferred; food industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to train and motivate staff effectively.
