Working Foreman – Multi-Family Construction

Terrace Construction Development is seeking an experienced Working Foreman to join our team on a large multi-family residential project. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter who enjoys leading by example, mentoring others, and taking pride in delivering high-quality work.
This position combines hands-on carpentry, site leadership, and project administration. You’ll spend time working alongside the crew while coordinating daily activities, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the Site Superintendent in delivering a successful project.
What You’ll Be Doing
Carpentry & Construction
- Perform hands-on carpentry and general construction work.
- Complete framing, finishing, deficiency corrections, and miscellaneous construction tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Ensure workmanship meets Terrace’s quality standards.
Leadership
- Lead and support a small crew of carpenters and labourers.
- Coordinate daily work activities and prioritize tasks.
- Mentor apprentices and less experienced team members.
- Work closely with subcontractors to maintain project flow.
- Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused culture.
Project Administration
- Complete daily site reports and progress updates.
- Assist with scheduling and short-term work planning.
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment requirements.
- Track labour, site activities, and completed work.
- Support the Superintendent with project documentation and communication.
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman Carpenter or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading crews on commercial or multi-family construction projects.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to remain hands-on.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Procore is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and quality control.

Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour
