Security Account Manager – Corporate
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift: Monday to Friday, 0600 - 1500
Pay Rate: $39.00-46.50/hour
About the Role
Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security Account Manager to lead a high-profile industrial security program in the Edmonton area. This role is ideal for a proven security leader with management experience in industrial, critical infrastructure, corporate, or other high-risk environments. You will oversee a team of approximately 50 security professionals while ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and exceptional security services across physical security, access control, static guarding, and 24/7 GSOC operations, while maintaining strong relationships with client leadership.
Site Requirements
Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this industrial security environment, the successful candidate must:
- Complete required pre-employment and site-specific drug and alcohol testing.
- Maintain a clean-shaven face where required to ensure proper fit and seal of respiratory protective equipment.
- Meet all required site access, security clearance, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain the site's end-to-end security program, including operational performance, KPIs, and service delivery.
- Lead and oversee a team of approximately 50 security personnel, including supervisors and frontline staff.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), post orders, and emergency response procedures.
- Manage all aspects of physical security, access control, static guarding, and 24/7 GSOC operations.
- Monitor security performance, conduct audits, and ensure contractual, operational, and compliance requirements are consistently achieved.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Provide leadership and oversight to ensure incidents, investigations, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives are managed effectively and completed in accordance with company and client standards.
- Maintain strong working relationships with client leadership and Allied Universal stakeholders through regular communication and operational reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in security, industrial operations, public safety, or a related field.
- A recognized security industry designation, or active enrollment toward completion of a recognized designation, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent, is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Emergency Management, or related fields is preferred.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Valid Alberta Security Services Worker License.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a satisfactory driver's abstract.
