Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and loss prevention measures. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred, but comprehensive training will be provided for qualified applicants. The position offers full-time employment with paid hours.
Duties
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity across the premises
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, following established protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorizations
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as needed while maintaining security standards
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is highly desirable
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security monitoring tools is preferred
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$36.95 per hour
