We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to a Senior in a home setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering a nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need of assistance, particularly seniors, by providing consistent, in-home care.
Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to the senior.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor health and well-being, recognizing signs of distress or health issues
- Administer medication as prescribed and coordinate with healthcare providers when necessary.
- Engage clients in recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities and any concerns
Experience
- One year of experience working with seniors with dementia is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience are essential for building trusting relationships.
- This position requires a caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work independently in a home environment. Candidates should be committed to providing high-quality care that promotes independence and enhances quality of life for those they serve.
- This position requires that the individual have a car and be able to drive.
- The applicant must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Pay: Up to $4,000.00 per month
