Responsibilities
- Work hand-in-hand with your Superintendent by reading project plans, apply that information to the job scope, and develop a plan, within scope, of priorities.
- You will be the point of first contact on a specified job site for your Superintendent, Operator, Labourers, and other cross-collaborative trade workers.
- The Foreman must lead his or her crew in an appropriate manner, sometimes during high stress occasions when deadlines are approaching.

- Safely maneuver and operate any given equipment within residential & commercial locations, sometimes with high pedestrian traffic or within other active construction sites.
- Perform vehicle and equipment inspections (if applicable), fill daily safety forms, and maintain accurate records of crew hours on any given project site.
- You will be responsible for presenting, demonstrating, and maintaining safety standards on any given job site.
- While operating any equipment, you will do so with a high standard of awareness for safety, for yourself and the team around you.
- The Foreman will have opportunity to pick up hours in lieu of rain days.
Requirements
- Ideally, you have basic experience operating Skid Steers, Frontend Loaders, or Excavators. Sometimes, your crew may not have a dedicated operator.
- Experience loading and unloading machinery and driving truck and trailer.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL Class-5), related operating certifications as needed.

- Be open minded, have a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to teach/train others.
- Be skillful with leadership orientated methods and approaches.
- Be comfortable working with a team comprised of different personalities and skill levels.
- Basic mechanical knowledge, not required, but helpful for troubleshooting.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
