Mayerthorpe Baptist Church: Lead Pastor
Mayerthorpe Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to guide, shepherd, and spiritually nourish our congregation. We are a vibrant, multi-generational, multi-cultural rural church with a congregation of 75 to 100 members and adherents, with the primary language being English. Our church community features a thriving children’s and youth program alongside a dedicated core of families and seniors. The ideal candidate will be a passionate follower of Jesus who thrives in a close-knit rural community. He will be directly aligned with our core vision: FOLLOWING JESUS, LOVING PEOPLE, BUILDING A BETTER WORLD.
Core Responsibilities:
1 Preaching and Spiritual leadership: As part of the preaching team, the expectation would be, Preach Scripture faithfully. Delivering biblically sound, engaging, and practical sermons to the congregation. Maintain spiritual health through a vibrant personal prayer and devotional life.
2. Discipleship and Pastoral care: As lead Pastor you would actively engage and shepherd all demographics. Teaching all ages through several ministry opportunities. Personally visit congregational members and adherents. Provide pastoral care through biblical counseling, guidance, and support.
3. Ministry Development and Administration: While working with others, taking the opportunity for mentoring and equipping hired staff. Coming alongside the ministry team leaders and volunteers, engaging and developing future leaders. Overseeing the day-to-day administration and ministerial needs. Collaborating and integrating with the board of Elders.

He will have a vibrant faith walk: Deeply committed to prayer, scripture,and personal discipleship.
He will be willing to move: Expectation for him to live and actively work in our community.
He will be relational: Family-oriented, personable, warm, and highly approachable. He will be of sound mind and doctrine: Aligned with the Bible, being a part of the Vision of MBC.
