Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Veterinarian. The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, prescribing medications and treatments, and conducting surgeries. The Associate Veterinarian will also be responsible for keeping patient records and communicating with pet owners about their pets' health and well-being.
Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic and treatment skills
- Excellent surgical skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior and husbandry
- Ability to effectively communicate with pet owners and staff
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
- Must be licensed to work as a veterinarian in Alberta, Canada
- Experience in small animal medicine and surgery is preferred, but not required
- Experience with both conventional and alternative medicine is a plus
