Automotive Service Coordinator

Location: Thunder Bay, ON
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 40–44 hours per week

Job Description

Welcome customers and provide professional customer service.
Determine the reason for the customer's visit and accurately document vehicle concerns.
Ask follow-up questions to gather detailed information about vehicle issues.
Enter customer and vehicle information into the shop management system.
Create detailed repair orders with complete and accurate details.
Assign vehicle inspections and repair orders to automotive technicians.
Act as the liaison between customers and technicians throughout the repair process.
Prepare and explain repair estimates.
Communicate inspection results, recommended repairs, and completed work to customers.
Answer customer questions regarding vehicle condition, repair progress, estimated completion time, and repair costs.
Explain automotive terminology and repair procedures in a clear and professional manner.
Prepare invoices and explain billing details.
Process customer payments.
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
Answer telephone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and schedule service appointments.
Assist with warranty claims, follow-up appointments, and general administrative duties as required.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Automotive Service Consultant, or in a similar automotive service role is required.
Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair services.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and automotive technicians.
Must be proficient in using computers and automotive shop management software.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and database software.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Reliable, punctual, professional, and a strong team player.
