Working alongside software engineers, data scientists, researchers, clinicians, and industry partners, you'll coordinate complex technical initiatives that improve how research is conducted and how healthcare data is leveraged to accelerate innovation in patient care.

Your duties will include:

Leading complex technical projects: Coordinating multiple concurrent AI, cloud computing, health data, and research infrastructure initiatives from planning through delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with funding and organizational objectives.

Connecting technical and business teams: Acting as the bridge between software engineers, researchers, clinicians, health informatics teams, and external partners to coordinate workstreams, manage risks, and keep stakeholders aligned.

Driving governance and project operations: Managing project plans, financial tracking, documentation, funding reporting, audit requirements, and governance processes to support large federally funded innovation initiatives.

Supporting healthcare innovation: Helping deliver technical platforms and infrastructure that enable cutting-edge research, AI capabilities, and digital health solutions that improve healthcare across BC and beyond.
What You Bring:
Education
-
Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent, related experience that includes successfully managing significant large projects or initiatives, and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

Your day to day:

Works with Directors, Project Sponsor(s), Managers/Leaders, staff and other stakeholders to develop detailed project charter and project plans outlining goals, objectives, timelines and project deliverables.

Executes project plan according to project methodologies, ensures successful and coordinated completion of project components, facilitates consensus with stakeholders as needed, and ensures readiness for project implementation.

Tracks project progress according to project plan, monitors and reports on the status of projects and major issues/obstacles encountered. Makes recommendations regarding project scope changes, rationale for change, seeks consensus and proceeds as needed.

Leads process improvement and work redesign, utilizing own expertise to utilize persuasion and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes.

Implements and/or contributes to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the life cycle of the project. Develops briefing notes or business cases to support initiatives moving forward.

In collaboration with Director/Project Sponsor, develops a budget plan for the project that meets the goals and objectives of the project, monitors expenditures, identifies financial issues, and seeks to adhere to budget or take corrective action. Recommends and/or negotiates contracts for provision of goods and services as required.

Leads the development and implementation of a sustainment plan to ensure ongoing support for new programs. Collaborates on opportunities to improve and sustain service and quality.

Meets with stakeholders, explains parameters of project and seeks input from various sources and teams. Ensures questions and concerns are addressed in order to achieve buy in.

Establishes roles and responsibilities of team members, identifies skills required and discusses timelines for project. Directs work of team members as applicable to project.

Identifies and supports resolution to problems or barriers for successful project/change initiative completion.

Provides leadership, facilitation, coordination and/or support as required to internal/external committees, planning groups and operational/implementation groups.

Liaises with human resources personnel on related matters as required.

Acts as a resource and provides support to the project team, staff and consultants and ensures that high quality project management principles are adhered to throughout the project stages. Mediates to resolve specific issues including interpersonal conflicts. Provides support to maintain project timelines.
