Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Appian Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using the Appian low-code platform. The successful candidate will build scalable, record-centric applications following Appian best practices while collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and DevOps teams.
This role requires strong hands-on Appian development experience, including SAIL interfaces, process models, records, reports, integrations, and application optimization. The ideal candidate will also provide technical guidance to junior developers and support application delivery across development, testing, and production environments.
Role Description
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using the Appian low-code platform.
- Build scalable, record-centric applications using Appian best practices.
- Develop and configure:
- SAIL interfaces
- Process models
- Appian Records
- Reports
- Integrations
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Lead technical design discussions and participate in code reviews.
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Support application deployments across:
- Development
- QA
- Production environments
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior Appian developers.
- Collaborate with:
- Business stakeholders
- Solution Architects
- QA teams
- DevOps teams
- Product Owners
- Support:
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Production issue resolution
- Continuous improvement initiatives
Managerial / Leadership Skills (Nice to Have)
- Ability to lead small development teams and own delivery of assigned application modules.
- Mentor and coach junior developers on:
- Appian best practices
- Design standards
- Development guidelines
- Conduct code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Coordinate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and proactively escalate issues.
- Ensure adherence to:
- SDLC processes
- Development governance
- Appian standards
- Support:
- Release planning
- Cutover activities
- Post-production stabilization
- Provide input on:
- Resource planning
- Technical dependencies
- Solution feasibility
Required Qualifications
- Total experience: 6–8 years.
- Strong hands-on experience with the Appian low-code platform.
- Experience developing enterprise-grade Appian applications.
- Strong knowledge of:
- SAIL
- Process Models
- Records
- Reports
- Integrations
- Experience with application development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Strong understanding of application performance, security, and scalability.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian certifications (preferred).
- Experience leading small development teams.
- Experience working with enterprise applications and complex business processes.
- Experience in financial services or insurance domains is an asset.
Pay: $110,000.00 per year
