About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance professional to assist in supervising the maintenance activities within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a background in industrial preventative maintenance and repairs, mechanical knowledge, and leadership skills. This role requires the ability to supervise a Maintenance Assistant team while ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all equipment and systems, including Machinery, belts, bearings, changeovers and setups.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist with the maintenance of all machines and facilities.
- Assist with setup & changeovers of all machinery.
- Work with the helper and team to ensure that all compliance procedures are in place and all safety procedures are followed to avoid any accidents or incidents.
- Interact with contractors and suppliers.
- Assist with stages of CAPEX projects.
- Proactively monitor equipment performance and document/fix potential problems – following the preventative maintenance program.
- Maintain the inventory of spare parts and their associated storage location.
- Complete HACCP/food safety & quality documentation as required by the Food Safety and quality program.
- Trouble shoot equipment
- Food Industry background
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Company:
- Millwright or dual ticketed
- A mechanical mindset and interest
- Previous experience in a similar role (asset)
- Able to work in team environment as well as individually
- A desire and aptitude to learn
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Experience in food production (asset)
- Analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles

Other Details:
Work times are Monday to Friday – 8.5-hour work days 5/6 am – 13:30/14:30 pm (avail for OT or emergencies at other times)
