About us

We are a collaborative, multidisciplinary therapy centre located in the heart of Bolton/Caledon, providing assessment and intervention services for children, adolescents, and adults. Our team includes Speech-Language Pathology, ABA Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Psychotherapy, allowing for truly integrated, whole-child support.

We work with a primarily pediatric population, with common areas of focus including ADHD, Autism, learning differences, and associated challenges such as anxiety, OCD, emotional regulation, and behavioral concerns. Our clinic values evidence-based, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming care, with therapy that is engaging, flexible, and individualized care.

About the Role

Room to Bloom Therapy Centre is seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist specializing in diagnosing and assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and other diagnoses in the pediatric population to join our dynamic team. All applicants must demonstrate the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, have effective crisis intervention skills, communicate successfully and interact positively with clients and their families.

Job Summary

The Clinical Psychologist will provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and other learning disabilities in children/teenagers. You will work in collaboration with Speech-Language-Pathologists, Reg. Behaviour Analysts, Reg. Psychotherapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care for our young patients. This position involves conducting psycho-educational assessments, implementing evidence-based assessment tools, and providing families with support and resources.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in our mostly pediatric population, using standardized tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R).
Perform comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) for our pediatric clients.
Perform comprehensive psycho-educational assessments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, speech therapists, RBAs, psychotherapists and occupational therapists, to develop individualized care plans.
Provide clear, thorough reports and feedback to families regarding the child’s diagnosis and recommendations for intervention and support.
Offer counseling and guidance to families on managing ASD, ADHD, ADD or other learning disabilities and connecting them with additional services.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and contribute to the overall care plan.
Stay updated on the latest research and developments in Autism Spectrum Disorder and incorporate best practices into clinical assessments.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution (PhD or PsyD).
Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Psychologists and Registered Behaviour Analysts Ontario (CPRBAO).
Expertise in the diagnosis and assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions in children.
Proficiency in administering and interpreting ASD assessment tools, including the ADOS and ADI-R.
Experience working with children and families in clinical settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research in pediatric psychology and ASD, ADHD and ADD.
