Accident Support Services International (ASSI) is the official Collision Reporting Centre partner for Police Services across Canada. Since 1994, we have proudly delivered professional collision management services in collaboration with Police, insurance companies, and private enterprise.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and customer‑focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at the Durham Reporting Centre.
This position requires someone who can work full time with full, unrestricted availability, including weekends. Shifts may fall anywhere within our hours of operation:
- Monday to Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Candidates must be fully available for weekend shifts, and willing to pick up additional shifts as needed.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on, active position where you will assist members of the public who have been involved in motor vehicle collisions. Your responsibilities will include preparing collision reports, guiding individuals through the first steps of the insurance process, and photographing damaged vehicles outdoors in all weather conditions. You will also support drivers using our self‑assist kiosks, which requires standing for extended periods.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, assess their needs, and direct them accordingly
- Respond to telephone inquiries and forward callers as needed
- Explain collision‑reporting obligations for Police and insurance
- Verify required documents (driver’s licence, ownership, insurance)
- Interview drivers to gather details of the collision
- Enter information into customized software to create collision reports for Police, insurance companies, and the Government of Ontario
- Retrieve, file, and organize reports
- Photograph vehicle damage outdoors in all weather conditions and upload images
- Scan documents into digital filing systems
- Assist drivers with the first steps of insurance reporting
- Support customers at self‑service kiosks (standing for extended periods)
- Perform other duties as assigned
You Would Be a Great Fit If You Have:
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- A strong understanding of the rules of the road and a valid driver’s licence
- Full, open availability — including weekends (mandatory)
- 5 years of customer service or retail experience (data entry is an asset)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and any additional screening
- Excellent keyboarding, customer service, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced, sometimes high‑pressure environment
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to support individuals in stressful situations

- Photographing vehicles outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.)
