Join Our Team

Kelsey's Ajax is looking for a passionate, energetic, and results-driven General Manager to lead our restaurant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about hospitality, and enjoy developing high-performing teams, we'd love to meet you.

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a positive workplace culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced restaurant leader who takes pride in building successful teams and delivering operational excellence.

What You'll DoLeadership

Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop front and back-of-house management and team members.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture.
Lead by example through hands-on leadership and floor presence.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Manage employee relations while ensuring company policies are followed.

Guest Experience

Ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality and service.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food quality, and service.
Build strong relationships with regular guests and the local community.

Operations

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
Ensure compliance with all recipes, food safety standards, health regulations, and company operating procedures.
Maintain staffing levels to meet business demands.
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls.
Ensure preventative maintenance and cleanliness standards are consistently met.

Financial Performance

Drive sales growth and profitability.
Manage labour costs, food costs, and controllable expenses.
Analyze financial reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
Create action plans to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets.
Protect company assets and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.

Health & Safety

Maintain compliance with all Ontario health and safety legislation.
Ensure food safety standards and sanitation practices are consistently followed.
Promote a safe working environment for employees and guests.

What We're Looking For

3–5+ years of restaurant management experience, including experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to drive sales and profitability.
Experience managing labour, food cost, and inventory.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Smart Serve Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.
