Clinical and Health Scientist - Development Operations to join a leading pharmaceutical organization in Whitby, ON. This role is ideal for a highly skilled analytical scientist with expertise in chromatography, method development, method validation, and pharmaceutical testing.
As a Scientist III, you will play a critical role in supporting product development and manufacturing by performing advanced analytical testing, troubleshooting complex laboratory challenges, and generating high-quality scientific data in a regulated GMP environment.

Responsibilities:
- Document all experimental work in accordance with ALCOA (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, and Accurate) data integrity principles
- Independently perform analytical testing using:
- HPLC
- GC
- Dissolution
- LC/MS
- Other advanced analytical instrumentation
- Execute testing in accordance with approved analytical methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Utilize laboratory systems including Empower, NuGenesis, LIMS, and Microsoft Office applications
- Troubleshoot analytical methods, instrumentation issues, and system suitability failures
- Support junior scientists by providing technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise
- Prepare technical documents including analytical methods, reports, protocols, and data summaries
- Identify, investigate, and report unexpected or Out-of-Specification (OOS) results
- Support formulation development by providing analytical expertise and interpretation of scientific data
- Execute method validation and method development activities
- Support excipient compatibility studies (ECS) and forced degradation studies
- Conduct method evaluations and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain a safe laboratory environment and support 5S initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, quality standards, and laboratory procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience performing analytical testing in pharmaceutical development and/or manufacturing environments supporting prototype through commercial batches

Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience at the Scientist II level with increasing technical responsibilities

Advanced knowledge of analytical chemistry and method development principles

Strong understanding of chromatographic separation techniques

Excellent knowledge of analytical instrumentation and laboratory technologies
