What you'll do:
- Production activities such as humane and ethical livestock handling and kill floor operations.
- Establish and ensure expectations of humane and ethical handling of all livestock at the facility.
- Lead by example in organization, cleanliness, sanitation and care for personal effects and workstations among plan personnel.
- Actively and thoroughly follow day-to-day operations for production, quality and food safety.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Assist with various tasks assigned by lead hands and production supervisors.
- Actively and enthusiastically learning new skills while on the job.
- Working as part of a supportive, positive, and inclusive team setting.

Qualifications include:
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to and from work.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50+lbs, push, and/or pull, heavy loads.
- Be willing to adhere to and ensure all hygienic food safe and WorkSafeBC requirements in the plant are followed.
- Experience in manufacturing or agriculture industry, within a fast-paced environment is an asset (but not required!)
- Firearms safety training is an asset (PAL)
- Livestock handling is an asset
- May required to drive a Tractor, experience is an asset.
- Basic English is considered an asset.
- Class 5 drivers license is considered an asset.
- Food safe is an asset.
- Work safe BC is an asset.
