Pillar5 Pharma is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join as a Packaging Operator. The Packaging Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient packaging of pharmaceutical products to the highest quality. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable operating and troubleshooting packaging equipment, and can maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment. This is a contract, casual position with potential to convert to permanent, full-time status.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate packaging equipment used for labeling, cartooning, and final packaging of pharmaceutical products.
- Perform line setup, changeovers, and minor adjustments to packaging equipment as required.
- Monitor packaging lines to ensure product quality, accuracy, and compliance with batch records and specifications.
- Conduct in-process checks including label verification, lot number verification, and packaging component inspections.
- Identify and report equipment issues, product defects, or deviations to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area in accordance with pharmaceutical standards.
- Assist with equipment cleaning and line clearance activities between production runs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in manufacturing, packaging, or production environments is an asset.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with automated or semi-automated equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to follow written procedures and complete documentation accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
SCHEDULE:
- Afternoons: Monday – Thursday 4:00pm – 2:30 am
COMPENSATION
- The starting rate for this position is $19.09/hr, with set increases based on tenure.
