Rehabilitation Assistant - Independent Contractor Opportunity

CommuniCare Therapy has been providing home and community care services in the South East and Champlain regions for over 25 years on behalf of Ontario Health atHome.

A rehabilitation assistant will join a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and resourceful physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians and social workers and work under the supervision and in collaboration with a registered physiotherapist and/or a registered occupational therapist to patients at their place of residence.

We are currently seeking a qualified Rehabilitation Assistant to work part-time (2-3 days) in the following areas:

Brockville and the surrounding areas

An Independent Contractor Rehabilitation Assistant with CommuniCare can expect:

Qualifications:

Certificate or Diploma in Physiotherapist Assistant and/or Occupational Therapist Assistant Program from a recognized community college program or equivalent education and experience
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
French language skills preferred and would be considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Candidates must hold a valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
