About the Role

Being a Driving Instructor isn’t for everyone. It’s one of the most challenging — and most rewarding — jobs you’ll ever do. You’ll be guiding students through one of the most important skills they’ll ever learn. You’ll teach them not only how to pass a test, but how to drive for life — safely, confidently, and responsibly.

What You’ll Do

Provide professional in-vehicle driver training following Young Drivers’ proven curriculum.
Coach students through their fears, mistakes, and successes with patience and care.
Teach defensive driving techniques and real-world safety strategies.
Maintain accurate student progress records and lesson reports.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with students, parents/guardians, and office staff.
Represent the Young Drivers brand with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

Valid Ontario G driver’s licence. Must have a Minimum 5 years at the full "G" level
Clean driving record and background check. Must provide CRJM Check - Level 2 and Driving Instructor Application before training commences.
Willingness to obtain a MTO Driving Instructor Licence. Requires 4 weeks of full time training (Mon to Friday 08:30am to 4:30pm - We cover the tuition fee!)
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Are you available to take the month of training (YD pays for the course). Full days, Monday to Friday.8:30 to 4:30
Can you pass CRJMC Level 2 police check? (Criminal Records and Judicial Matters Check - Level 2)?
Do you have a vehicle, less than 5 years old, that you could use for teaching?

Experience:

Driving: 10 years (required)
Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Class G Licence and been at the full "G" level for 5 years (required)
