Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team.

You will provide legal support and assistance to lawyers and staff in litigation and other practice areas.

You will be joining a team that takes pride in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of areas and prioritize challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with litigation support (ie. family law, civil and commercial litigation and personal injury) to lawyers and staff
Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
Manage case files and document management systems to ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval of case information.
Support lawyers with client communication by scheduling meetings, interviews, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Assist in the organization of discovery materials through document review and indexing for litigation support.
Qualifications
Paralegal experience or prior legal support experience demonstrating familiarity in the areas of family law, general litigation and/or personal injury.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PCLaw.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting family, civil or commercial litigation cases is highly desirable.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
