BUILD YOUR BOOK. WORK FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE IN ALBERTA.

We're an independently owned Alberta brokerage group with offices in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan and Devon. We're hiring a Commercial Producer who works fully remotely, anywhere in the province.

This is a real production role. Not a call-centre seat, not a lead-reading job. You own your territory, build your book, and get paid on what you produce.

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A BOOK OF BUSINESS, READ THIS PART. We pay an override on business you bring with you, on top of your standard commission. Bring the question to the first call - we'll answer it directly and put it in writing.

WHY PRODUCERS COME TO US

Permanently remote. Not hybrid, not "remote for now." No shift schedule. You're paid on results, not hours.
50 markets, and we're open to any class. Contractors and trades, trucking and fleet, hospitality, property management and realty, manufacturing, farm, professional lines - if it's commercial, bring it. If you're carrying accounts you can't place where you are now, that's the conversation worth having.
You don't do your own paperwork. We run Epic with dedicated service and admin support behind you. COIs, endorsements and renewal packaging aren't your evening.
Uncapped new business commission, at a rate set deliberately higher than our renewal rate.
Direct line to the owner. Need a market approached or an underwriter escalated to win an account? One call to a yes or a no, not six weeks to a committee.

COMPENSATION

Base salary plus uncapped commission. Total earnings for a producing commercial broker land in the $75,000-$175,000 range, and the top of that is not the ceiling.
Base is negotiated with you, based on your experience, licence level and what you're bringing.
Uncapped new business commission, plus renewal commission on the book you build.
Book transfer override on business you bring with you.
Full commission grid, chargeback terms and payment timing shared in writing at your first interview. We don't do vague.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Build and own a commercial pipeline - prospecting, referrals, your own network
Run the full cycle: discovery, exposure analysis, submission, market negotiation, presentation, close
Design coverage programs across any class of Alberta commercial risk
Negotiate with underwriters and defend your submissions
Round out accounts and drive retention with your service team
Manage renewals strategically and keep it documented in Epic

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR - two tracks. Tell us which one you are.

TRACK A - EXPERIENCED COMMERCIAL PRODUCER (primarily who we're after)

Level 2 General Insurance licence in good standing with the Alberta Insurance Council
2+ years in commercial lines in Alberta
A track record you can speak to specifically - what you wrote and how you found it
A transferable book is a major advantage and is compensated. It is not required.

TRACK B - LICENSED SALESPERSON READY TO MOVE INTO COMMERCIAL

Level 2 licence, or Level 1 with the Level 2 exam written
Proven sales performance - insurance or another consultative B2B sale where you carried a number and hit it
Real appetite for the technical side. We'll teach commercial; you have to want to learn it.

BOTH TRACKS

Self-directed - this is remote, nobody is watching your calendar
Strong written and verbal communication; you'll be presenting to owners and CFOs
Comfortable in a BMS and Microsoft 365
Alberta resident, legally entitled to work in Canada
Valid driver's licence and vehicle

HOW THIS WORKS

3. Working conversation: our commission grid, our markets against your prospects, and how your book would be handled
