Our client, a national leader in material handling, loading dock, and warehouse solutions, is looking to add an experienced Senior Commercial Door Technician to support customers throughout the Greater Edmonton area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced field technician who enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, building customer relationships, and mentoring junior technicians while working independently from a fully equipped company service vehicle.
About the Role:
As a senior member of the service team, you'll travel throughout the Greater Edmonton area servicing commercial overhead doors, loading dock equipment, dock levelers, restraints, seals, and related systems.
You'll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, complete preventative maintenance, perform repairs, and provide exceptional customer service at every job site. You'll also play an important role in mentoring less experienced technicians while identifying opportunities to recommend additional maintenance or repair solutions when appropriate.
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- 4+ years of experience servicing dock doors and loading dock equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Previous field service experience
- Welding experience
- Knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians
- Confidence discussing repair recommendations and identifying additional customer needs
- Valid driver's licence
Compensation & Benefits:
- $90,000 – $98,000 annual salary
- Overtime paid after 44 hours per week
