Join Our Automotive Service Team
Canadian Tire Midland is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy Automotive Service Centre.
As a Service Advisor, you are the key connection between our customers and our Automotive Service team. You will help customers understand their vehicle's service and repair needs, coordinate work with our technicians and Parts team, and ensure customers receive clear communication and an excellent experience from the time they arrive until their vehicle is ready.
We are looking for someone who is organized, confident communicating with customers, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and interested in building a career in the automotive industry.
Previous automotive experience is an asset; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who brings strong customer service skills, professionalism, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and identify their vehicle service, maintenance and repair needs.
- Schedule service appointments and assist with coordinating the daily workflow of the Automotive Service Centre.
- Create and maintain accurate customer work orders.
- Prepare estimates and clearly explain recommended maintenance and repairs to customers.
- Communicate with customers throughout the repair process and provide timely updates.
- Obtain customer authorization for additional repairs or services when required.
- Work closely with Automotive Technicians, Parts Associates and Service Management to help ensure work is completed efficiently and customer commitments are met.
- Review completed work with customers and answer questions regarding repairs and maintenance.
- Recommend appropriate automotive maintenance and services based on customer and vehicle needs.
- Maintain accurate information using computerized automotive service systems.
- Assist in resolving customer questions or concerns professionally and respectfully.
- Build long-term customer relationships through trust, communication and exceptional service.
- Support the organization and day-to-day operation of the Automotive Service Centre.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of customer service experience required.
- Previous automotive, dealership, repair shop, parts or Service Advisor experience is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to confidently explain information and recommendations to customers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems.
- Knowledge of computerized automotive service and work-order systems software is an asset.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Ability to remain professional and solution-focused in challenging situations.
- Willingness to learn about automotive maintenance, repairs, products and services.
- Valid Ontario driver's license required.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Midland location.
