K9ine Security is hiring a Drone Security Operator (RPAS Pilot) to support patrol operations at the beautiful Wesleyville Wetlands.

About the Role
As a Drone Security Operator (RPAS Pilot), you'll provide aerial support for patrol operations at the Wesleyville Wetlands by using drone technology to identify trespassing, unauthorized ATV and vehicle activity, and other suspicious behaviour.
This is a unique role that combines modern drone operations with environmental protection and security. Your aerial observations and documentation will support patrol personnel while helping preserve one of our community's most valuable natural spaces.
This position requires professionalism, strong observation skills, sound decision-making, and a passion for using technology in the field.
Responsibilities
- Launch and operate scheduled drone patrols over the Wesleyville Wetlands.
- Monitor for trespassing, unauthorized ATV, off-road vehicle, and motor vehicle activity.
- Capture aerial photos and video of incidents, access points, and areas of concern.
- Provide real-time observations and location information to patrol personnel.
- Complete accurate flight logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation.
- Document environmental damage or unauthorized access.
- Operate and maintain drone equipment safely and responsibly.
- Follow all applicable Transport Canada RPAS regulations, privacy legislation, and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with patrol personnel, project representatives, and authorities when required.

Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (Required)
- Ontario Drone License
- Valid CPR Certification (Required)
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Experience operating drones (RPAS/UAS) in outdoor environments
- Strong observation and report-writing skills
- Reliable transportation to our Port Hope Training Centre
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a patrol team
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal RPAS/UAS training
- Experience in security, conservation, patrol, law enforcement, or outdoor recreation
- Experience using GPS mapping or navigating remote terrain
