Shutdown Work – October 5 to 30
We are looking for experienced Millwrights for shutdown work from October 5 to October 30.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will complete all work in a safe and appropriate manner. You will be responsible for safely performing various millwright duties and must follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation to ensure safe operations.
· Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts per day
· Location: Warman and Lloydminster, Saskatchewan
· Travel: Working away from home will be required
· Travel & Meals: Paid travel and meal allowances provided
· Road Work: Travel and road work will be required
Job Duties
- Ability to work with material handling systems including bucket elevators, dust collection systems, grain cleaning equipment, conveyors, augers, fans, motors vacuums, pumps, compressors etc.
- Inspection, installation, adjustment and maintenance of mechanical machines and equipment on site.
- Machine troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and preventative maintenance.
- Dismantling, repairing, and assembling equipment as required and in-line with manufacturers specifications and recommended standards.
- Thorough knowledge and use of a micrometer, dial indicators, and other tools necessary to achieve the settings and tolerances required.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
- Inspect equipment on a regular basis, pre and post operating.
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to supervisor in order to facilitate corrective action and meet federal regulations.
- Safely work from a ladder, platform, staging scaffold or mobile basket.
- Ability to weld an asset.
- Working at heights will be required.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge in general maintenance & millwrighting
- Journeyman Red Seal Millwright Ticket preferred; All apprentices will be considered.
- Experience in Agriculture Industry with Grain Material Handling Systems an asset.
- Knowledge of conveyors, belt bucket elevators, and grain cleaning equipment an asset
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings and initiate drawing changes.
- Class 5 Driver’s License
- Effective, self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing, and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative.
- First Aid / Safety Tickets an asset.
